HL5095

HL5095 is a chip for over-voltage protection with slew rate control and low Rds(on). It is used between the power supply and the load to protect and isolate the power supply, preventing unnecessary abnormal voltage and current conditions. Especially in the OTG mode of smartphones, HL5095 can be placed between the OTG boost regulator and the USB port. HL5095 can protect the boost regulator from the effects of over-voltage or over-current USB conditions in smartphones. For high-voltage applications (9V or above), HL5095A and HL5095B integrate high-voltage device power FET switches with a maximum input voltage of 13.5V. The over-voltage protection thresholds are set at 14.2V for the HL5095A version, 10.4V for the HL5095B, and 5.8V for the HL5095C. To prevent excessive input voltage or battery degradation caused by large surge currents, HL5095 also implements several protection features, such as output over-voltage and input under-voltage protection, over-current protection with FLTB flag, and over-temperature protection.
