HL8112 is a compact, high efficiency synchronous hysteretic buck converter capable of delivering up to 12A continuous output current and 15A peak output current from a wide input voltage range of 2.85V to 18V.
The HL8112 features a highly accurate internal voltage reference. The default reference voltage can be selected via the A0/REF pin, while the output voltage is set by an external resistor divider from VOUT to FB. The VOUT reference voltage is programmable through the I²C interface from 0.5V to 1.108V in 4mV steps, and the device supports Dynamic Voltage Scaling (DVS) by adjusting the reference voltage and slew rate.
The soft start time is programmable with an external capacitor on the SS pin. The HL8112 integrates multiple protection features, including output overvoltage protection, overcurrent protection, short circuit protection, and thermal shutdown. Two integrated 8 bit ADCs are provided for monitoring output voltage and output current. The device operates over an ambient temperature range of –40°C to +125°C.
The HL8112 is available in a 3mm × 4mm, 14 pin QFN package.
